Built it with Bolt? Let's make sure it's safe to ship.

Bolt gets you from idea to running app faster than anything. It's less interested in whether the API routes it just wrote can be called by anyone, anywhere. We audit the perimeter before you hit publish.

What we look for first

  • API routes with no CORS or origin checking
  • Form submissions trusted client-side
  • Hardcoded auth secrets in the generated config
  • Public buckets exposing user uploads

Illustrative examples. Yours might be cleaner. Or worse.

The Bolt mistakes we look for.

Four issues we check in every Bolt-built app, each with the change to make. If any of these sound familiar, you already know why this exists.

  • API routes wide open to any origin

Generated /api endpoints can accept any caller from any site.

Suggested change: Check the origin and rate-limit each route.

  • Trust placed on the client

Forms that validate in the browser but not on the server are a billing attack waiting to happen.

Suggested change: Repeat every validation on the server.

  • Generated config carrying secrets

Bolt's generated config files sometimes inline what should be env vars.

Suggested change: Move them to env vars, then rotate them.

  • Public bucket, private data

Storage configured for 'simplicity' that turns out to be 'everything readable'.

Suggested change: Make uploads private and serve them through signed URLs.

How a review works.

Try the free key-leak scan first if you like. When you’re ready for the full review, it goes like this.

  • You share your code.

Pay once, then send a GitHub link, a public repository URL, or a ZIP of your project.

    Day 0

  • We review it.

We run AI-assisted security checks on your source, review the results by hand, and record what was and was not covered.

    Within 5 working days

  • You fix what matters.

You get a prioritised report in plain English. On request, we send the fixes as a draft pull request or patch. You review, test and merge.

    When you’re ready

One price for one project.

Pay once for a review of a single repository. If your stack is bigger than that, we scope it with you first.
